About Us
The Ball Family comprises the many descendants of William and Edna Ball. The cottage joined the family in 1912. It is managed by members of the family under the auspices of the family's Sunrise Mountain Club.
"Where Quiet Reigns." Ours is one of about 20 homes on Terrace Road, a mile-long private dirt road on the mountainside rising up above Lake George (accessible via Route 9N). This woodsy view from the screened porch shows Oneita Bay - about a quarter-mile away.
We typically have ten to twelve weeks during the summer when the cottage is host to members of the Sunrise Mountain Club on a weekly basis. See the Schedule Page for availability.

Other Information
We have three downstairs and two upstairs bedrooms, two bathrooms including both tub and shower and a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. A 270 degree screened porch provides room for dining, resting and fantastic overnight sleepouts! There is standard landline phone service to the house but only 'iffy' cellphone coverage and no real TV reception (a DVD player is connected). Cable service provides both wired and wireless broadband Internet access. A Google Chromecast device is provided, enabling viewing of streamed Internet video, so visitors won't have to miss a thing... but we encourage everybody to relax this week!
Shopping is available at local convenience stores and at the towns of Hague (4 miles), Ticonderoga (12 miles), and Bolton Landing (14). Swimming at Lake George is available thru the Oneita Bay Boat Club and the Silver Bay Association. Fees apply.
